Come winter or a mere climate change and most of us are battling the worst case of the flu. As always, I’m looking for natural and delicious cures in my kitchen over antibiotics. India’s favourite and long loved superfood, basil seeds come to my rescue for a nagging flu I’ve been battling with. Sick or not, you want to try this recipe!
What you need:
1 cup thick coconut milk
3 tbsp basil seeds
4 tbsp maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
For the topping:
1/2 cup mixed fruits like berries, pomegranate, kiwi
1/4 cup fresh passion fruit preserve
How to:
Combine with the coconut milk and maple syrup in a small saucepan and heat gently.
Add the basil seeds and stir.
Let it cool down.
Cover and rest in the refrigerator for a minimum of two hours for the flavours to develop.
Top with fresh berries and the passion fruit preserve.
Remember to share it with someone you love.
