It’s no secret now that all health issues begin with an unhealthy gut. I’m not going to bore you with too many details but just leave you with this little gem of a recipe to my daily detox shot. An inflamed gut can be healed with having natural anti-inflammatory foods like ginger, lemon and turmeric.
I religiously begins my mornings with this shot of juiced down ginger, lemon and turmeric. If you’re worried that it might taste too intense (btw, it tastes so delicious once you get used to it) let me tell you that it tastes better than sick feels. And if you still find it too sharp, add a teaspoon of honey to the concoction.
What you need:
1 inch piece ginger
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp honey
Finely grate the ginger in a small bowl and add a couple of teaspoons of water to the grated ginger. Combine the ginger and water thoroughly and extract the juice out of the grated ginger along with the water in a separate bowl.
Add the juice of one whole lemon and a fat pinch of turmeric to the ginger juice.
Add a teaspoon of honey if desired and consume this immediately.
